The museum boasts a unique collection of antique ornamented belts, jewelry, dresses, taraz (traditional Armenian costumes), carpets, and puppets that will unquestionably capture your curiosity.
Aguletsi was the only woman of her time who preserved the old Armenian «fashion,» always dressing in traditional costumes called taraz. Her dedication allowed her to save more than a thousand different elements of Armenian culture, spending almost all her lifetime on it. If you want to immerse yourself in the energy of old Armenian customs and witness what a typical Armenian place would look like, a visit to the Lusik Aguletsi house-museum is a must. The interior will transport you to a whole different world, away from the bustling city. The museum also showcases personal belongings of Aguletsi, such as handmade ornamented belts, jewelry, dresses, and traditional costumes, along with her paintings, all wonderfully traditional.
